The Center of Developing Entrepreneurs, or CODE Building, is a pioneering retail and commercial office development that features flexible retail space and supports a dynamic work environment. The Charlottesville, Virginia-based building’s architectural design provides companies with an innovative workspace that promotes sustainability and well-being.
The primary goal of this project was to reduce contributions to climate change through the use of sustainable materials and to enhance the well-being of its occupants and the local community. The distinctive building achieved a LEED Platinum® certification as it pushes the envelope of sustainable design by including high-efficiency systems and expansive green space for its occupants.
The building features Kawneer’s 1620 Curtain Wall System, 1600 Wall System®1 Curtain Wall, 1600 Wall System®2 Curtain Wall, Trifab® VersaGlaze® 601T Framing System, GLASSvent® Windows for Storefront Framing, 350T Insulpour® Thermal Entrances and Trifab® VersaGlaze® 450 Framing System.
